The Gardening Artist
I am a mixed media artist and printmaker working with acrylics and watercolours who is inspired by all things in nature. My work is a response to the place where I live and the beautiful land and seascapes of West Wales. I use botanical and monotype printing techniques and these form the foundation of most of my work. I enjoy combining different processes and media to create landscape and plant inspired mixed media artwork on paper and canvas. I often incorporate free motion machine embroidery as well as hand stitch which add a further dimension to my work.
I work from my home studio in Llangrannog, Ceredigion. Nestled in nature, it is located in a tranquil spot on the edge of a wildflower meadow with the Nant Ddu stream alongside providing a relaxing soundtrack. You can come and visit the place and the plants that inspire so much of my work. My studio is open to visitors at various times throughout the year.
